Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Apigee Expert with strong API Architecture experience to design, implement, and optimize API management solutions. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to define API strategies, ensure best practices, and deliver scalable, secure, and high-performance API solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Design API Strategy, API architecture and governance models, including API lifecycle management
- Develop API proxies, policies, and security mechanisms (OAuth, JWT, etc.).
- Collaborate with development and product teams to implement API standards and design patterns.
- Develop and Enhance CI CD Processes for API Promotion
- Discover and catalog APIs across the enterprise.
- Stand up a developer portal to enhance API accessibility and adoption.
- Address any audit findings related to API security and compliance.
- Manage API versioning, documentation, and developer portal configurations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve API-related issues, ensuring minimal downtime and high availability.
- Stay updated with industry trends and best practices for API management and security.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience working with Google Apigee (Edge/Hybrid/X).
- Deep understanding of API design principles, RESTful APIs, and microservices architecture.
- Hands-on experience with API security protocols (OAuth2, OIDC, MTLS, etc.).
- Proficiency in writing JavaScript, Python, or Node.js for API development.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code tools.
- Experience implementing Drupal based heavily customized API Developer Portal of Apigee
- Experience in implementing Monetization on Apigee
- Experience with API monitoring, logging, and analytics tools.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 10+ years relevant experience
- Apigee certification(s) or equivalent credentials.
- Experience managing a large technology function. Experience managing multiple technology teams.
- Experience defining and managing enterprise-level API landscape (Internal and external APIs), domain driven design.
- Expert in microservices architecture and various integration patterns.
- Experience with Event-driven architecture and understand the complexity of managing distributed data.
- API management tools APIGEE experience preferred
- Developer Portal with experience in Drupal 7 & 8 min 5 Year's experience
- React or Angular Experience
- Experience designing Cloud-native applications.
