Apigee developer

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior API Developer with a minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in Apigee API Gateway, Amazon Web Services (AWS), and Kubernetes. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and managing secure, scalable, and efficient API solutions to support business applications and integration initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and deploy API proxies using Google Apigee Edge/Apigee X.
• Implement API policies for security, traffic management, transformation, and mediation.
• Manage CI/CD pipelines for API deployments in cloud-native environments.
• Integrate APIs with AWS services including Lambda, API Gateway, S3, DynamoDB, SNS/SQS, etc.
• Develop and deploy microservices-based architecture using Kubernetes and container technologies like Docker.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including architects, DevOps, and application developers.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize API and cloud-based workloads.
• Ensure API security and compliance with enterprise standards and best practices.

Required Skills:

• 4+ years of hands-on experience with Apigee API Gateway (Edge or X).
• Strong expertise in AWS ecosystem and its services relevant to microservices and APIs.
• Solid understanding and working knowledge of Kubernetes for orchestrating containerized applications.
• Proficiency in scripting or programming languages such as Java, Python, or Node.js.
• Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, CircleCI).
• Familiarity with logging and monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, etc.
• Knowledge of API security standards (OAuth2.0, JWT, API Key, mTLS).

Preferred Qualifications:

• AWS certification (e.g., AWS Certified Developer / Solutions Architect).
• Experience in DevOps practices and Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Knowledge of Istio or service mesh frameworks.
• Experience working in Agile environments.
