API Testing

Position: API Testing

Location: Mylapore , ( Chennai )

Experience: 3 - 5 years

Notice Period: Immediate to 15 days (Max)

Key Responsibilities:

Test APIs to ensure functionality, reliability, and performance.

Create and execute API test cases based on business requirements.

Develop and maintain API automation scripts.

Perform mobile automation using Appium or similar tools.

Validate API responses, status codes, JSON/XML data.

Perform database validation using SQL queries.

Log, track, and manage defects using JIRA.

Collaborate closely with developers and business teams.

Participate in requirement discussions and provide QA inputs.

Support integration testing across systems.

Maintain test documentation and reports.

Required Skills:

Strong understanding of REST & SOAP APIs.

Hands-on experience with Postman, Swagger, or similar tools.

Experience in API automation using Rest Assured, Python, or similar frameworks.

Experience in Mobile Automation using Appium.

Good knowledge of HTTP methods (GET, POST, PUT, DELETE) & status codes.

Experience validating JSON and XML responses.

Basic SQL knowledge for database validation.

Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Good analytical, problem-solving & communication skills.

Basic understanding of Investment / BFSI domain.

Experience in testing financial transaction & reporting APIs.

Basic exposure to performance testing tools like JMeter.

• Understanding of authentication methods (OAuth, JWT, Basic Auth).
