API/Automation Test Engineer - Software Quality Assurance

We are seeking a skilled API/Automation Test Engineer with expertise in API testing using Python. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test scripts and frameworks to ensure the quality and performance of our API services. This role requires a strong understanding of QA methodologies, experience with CI/CD practices, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve defects.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for API testing using Python.
• Set up and enhance automation frameworks such as PyTest and Robot Framework.
• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for API functionalities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand API requirements and functionality.
• Identify, document, and track defects and issues through resolution.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing on APIs.
• Ensure continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) practices are followed.
• Contribute to the improvement of QA processes and methodologies for API testing.

Skills Required:

• Proven experience in QA automation with a focus on Python for API testing.
• Strong understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes for API testing.
• Experience with automation frameworks such as PyTest or similar.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or AzureDevOps.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Basics of payments gateway such as UPI Switch Transition, Biller Management System, Mandate Unification System, and Wallet Aggregation.

QUALIFICATION:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
