API Automation test engineer

• 5+ years of total experience with 3+ years of relevant experience
• Basic knowledge of writing SQL and PL/SQL scripts (good to have)
• Experience in continuous integration and deployments using Bamboo or Jenkins (good to have)
• Proven experience in understanding automation frameworks and building framework components
• Experience with defect and test management tools, preferably JIRA and XRAY
• Experience working in an agile development environment
• Self-driven and capable of working in a distributed team model
• Excellent communication skills
• Proactively manages timelines and dependencies related to automation deliverables

Mandatory Skills:

• 5+ years of API testing experience
• 3+ years of test automation using Selenium, preferably with BDD (Cucumber)
• 2+ years of API automation using Rest Assured
• Experience on Appian Platform (highly desirable)
• Familiarity with API tools such as Postman, SoapUI, Swagger UI, and Splunk

Desired/Secondary Skills:

• Good knowledge of Agile methodology
• Experience in JIRA and Confluence
• Retail banking domain knowledge
• Functional testing knowledge (web and API)
