Position Overview
We are seeking an API Architect/Senior Developer to help design and implement scalable API solutions. This role offers an excellent opportunity for experienced developers to grow into architecture while working with modern technologies and cloud platforms.
Responsibilities
Technical Leadership
- Design and implement RESTful APIs and microservices
- Develop API standards and best practices
- Review API designs and provide technical guidance
- Collaborate with development teams on API implementation
- Help establish API security patterns and practices
Development & Implementation
- Create API documentation and specifications
- Implement API solutions using modern frameworks
- Support integration with various internal and external systems
- Assist in API testing and performance optimization
- Help maintain API gateway and management tools
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of software development experience
- Strong background in API development and integration
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in at least one major programming language (Node.js, Python, or Java)
- Experience with RESTful API design and implementation
- Knowledge of API documentation tools (Swagger/OpenAPI)
- Understanding of API security fundamentals
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience with API management platforms
- Knowledge of GraphQL
- Familiarity with event-driven architectures
- Container orchestration experience
- CI/CD pipeline experience
