In this role, you will be responsible for pioneering innovative category and sourcing strategies, cultivating strategic supplier relationships, and optimizing spend categories through data-driven insights to unlock value for Google.
Responsibilities:
- Development and execution of category strategies aligned with organizational objectives for assigned indirect spend categories with focus on marketing: Media, Creative, Social, Events, Market Research etc.
- Build and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure quality service delivery and alignment with organizational objectives.
- Support execution of sourcing strategies, RFx processes, negotiations, and supplier evaluations within designated categories.
- Analyze spending patterns, market trends, and identify value opportunities within the category.
- Analyze procurement data, generate reports, and provide insights to support decision-making and performance evaluation within the category.
- Champion an AI-First procurement strategy, proactively identifying opportunities to automate transactional workflows and leveraging predictive analytics to drive competitive advantage and category excellence.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Finance, Business, related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 7 years of experience in multi-disciplined procurement, leading strategy development, execution and sourcing or a related function.
- Ability to communicate English and/or Korean fluently to manage local stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degree or certifications in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
- 7 years experience in procurement in the marketing environment with focus on India ecosystem.
- Proficiency in analyzing procurement data, generating reports, and providing insights to support decision-making and performance evaluation within the category.
- Experience in developing and managing key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure category performance and track progress towards strategic goals.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to lead strategic projects or initiatives aimed at improving procurement processes, implementing new strategies, or driving innovation within the category.
- Proven ability to identify opportunities for process improvements, efficiency gains, and innovation within procurement activities and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance category management practices.
- Proficiency in leveraging technology and analytical tools to enhance category management practices and drive data-driven decision-making.
- Ability to communicate in English and local language, knowledge of foreign language is a plus.
