Role Description This is a full-time, on-site AOI Operator / MI Operator role based in Surat. The AOI / MI Operator will be responsible for operating and monitoring Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) or Manual Inspection (MI) equipment used in the production of solar inverter PCBs and related components. Daily tasks include inspecting assembled boards for defects, verifying solder quality, component placement, and polarity, and recording inspection results accurately in production logs or systems. The role also involves following standard operating procedures, escalating quality issues to supervisors or quality engineers, and assisting in basic machine setup, calibration, and routine maintenance. The AOI / MI Operator will collaborate closely with production, quality, and engineering teams to support smooth manufacturing flow, maintain high-quality standards, and meet production targets safely and efficiently.
Qualifications
- Hands-on experience operating AOI or manual inspection stations, with the ability to identify common PCB and assembly defects (e.g., solder bridges, missing or misaligned components, polarity errors).
- Basic understanding of electronics or PCB assembly processes, including reading simple work instructions, layout diagrams, or component markings.
- Strong attention to detail, visual inspection accuracy, and ability to work with small components for extended periods.
- Familiarity with manufacturing or production environments, including adherence to safety, ESD, and quality standards.
- Ability to follow standard operating procedures, document inspection results clearly, and communicate issues to supervisors or quality teams.
- Willingness to work in shifts if required, manage repetitive tasks, and meet daily production and quality targets.
- Basic computer literacy for operating AOI software, entering data, and using production or quality tracking systems.
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent; a technical certificate or diploma in electronics, electrical, or related fields is an advantage.
- Prior experience in electronics manufacturing, solar inverter production, or similar industry is preferred but not mandatory.
- Team-oriented, reliable, and open to learning new equipment, processes, and continuous improvement practices.
