Role Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Ansible Automation Senior Architect to design, architect, and lead large-scale automation programs across enterprise data centers and private cloud environments. This role focuses on building scalable, secure, and repeatable automation frameworks using Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform (AAP), Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and DevSecOps best practices across DC, DR, and UAT environments.
Key Responsibilities
Solution Architecture & Design
- Lead architecture, design, and blueprinting of automation solutions using Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform (AAP/Tower)
- Design IaC-driven automation frameworks, playbooks, roles, and reusable collections
- Build automation for provisioning, configuration management, patching, Day-0 / Day-1 / Day-2 operations, and compliance
- Define automation governance, standards, tagging, versioning, and CI/CD integration
Delivery Leadership
- Own end-to-end automation delivery for large enterprise programs (DC / DR / UAT)
- Guide and mentor L2/L3 automation engineers
- Review, validate, and sign off on all automation deliverables
- Ensure delivery alignment with project scope, timelines, SLAs, and compliance, including government and private cloud tenders
Technical Expertise
- Deep hands-on expertise with Ansible, Ansible Tower / AAP, and IaC frameworks
- Strong experience across:
- RHEL, Red Hat Satellite, RHEL HA add-ons
- VMware, virtualization & VM provisioning automation
- OpenShift & container environments
- Public Cloud (AWS / Azure)
- Network & security automation (firewalls, switches, routers added advantage)
- Translate RFP / RFI technical requirements into executable automation architectures
Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
- Work closely with customers, Red Hat teams, cloud teams, and internal delivery stakeholders
- Support presales activities including estimations, BOQs, and SOW definitions
- Deliver technical documentation, HLDs, LLDs, governance models, and runbooks
Quality, Compliance & Optimization
- Establish reusable automation standards, collections, and best practices
- Implement monitoring, logging, and audit controls for automation pipelines
- Optimize existing automation for performance, reliability, and operational efficiency
Required Skills & Experience
Technical Skills
- 10+ years overall IT experience with 5+ years dedicated to Ansible & IaC
- Strong hands-on experience with:
- Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform (AAP / Tower)
- Ansible Core, Roles, Collections
- Git, CI/CD pipelines, YAML, Python
- RHEL, Satellite, RHEL HA
- VMware & multi-environment automation (DC / DR / UAT)
Architecture & Delivery Skills
- Experience designing automation for large-scale environments (300500+ nodes)
- Strong expertise in effort estimation, delivery planning, and cost modeling
- Excellent documentation and governance capabilities
- Proven ability to lead teams and manage enterprise customer expectations
Preferred Certifications
- Red Hat Certified Architect (RHCA)
- Red Hat Certified Specialist Ansible Automation
- ITIL, Terraform Associate(added advantage)
