Overview:

One of our client is hiring for 2D Animator. The ideal candidate will have expertise in 2D and/or 3D animation, proficiency in animation software such as Toon Boom, Blender or Adobe Animate, and a strong understanding of the principles of animation, including timing, weight, and appeal. Additionally, experience in character animation, rigging, and visual effects is highly desirable, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment to create high-quality animations across different platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop and produce high-quality 2D/3D animations for characters, objects, and environments.

2. Collaborate with the creative team to understand project goals and implement animations that meet both technical and artistic needs.

3. Design and refine storyboards and animation sequences based on project briefs.

4. Ensure smooth integration of animations with other creative assets and technical elements.

5. Optimize animations for various platforms, including games, video production, or web-based applications.

6. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to animation quality, performance, or technical glitches.

7. Stay up to date with the latest animation trends and software advancements.

Required Skills:

- 2D and/or 3D Animation Software:

Toon Boom

Blender

Adobe Animate

After Effects

- Animation Skills:

Strong grasp of movement, timing, and the principles of animation.

Character animation (rigging and lip-syncing experience is a plus).

Visual effects animation (particle systems, dynamics).

- Design and Storyboarding:

Conceptualizing animation sequences and working with storyboards.

- Collaboration Tools and Technologies:

GitHub (Version control for project files).

Collaboration through project management tools (e.g., Jira, Asana).

RESTful API integration for interactive projects (where applicable).

- Rendering and Optimization:

Rendering pipelines for animation projects (experience with cloud rendering solutions is a plus).

Optimization for performance across platforms.
