Position Summary: The Animator / Editor is a critical contributor to Armstrong's global marketing and communications engine. This role brings technical concepts, product architectures, and system-level value propositions to life through high-quality 2D/3D animations, motion graphics, and edited videos.
Operating within the India Marketing Operations Center and reporting to the Global Design Manager, the Animator / Editor transforms complex ideas into engaging visual narratives that enhance customer understanding, support product launches, and elevate Armstrong's digital presence across global markets.
The role prioritizes strong animation craft, visual storytelling, and the ability to communicate product value clearlywhile advanced technical interpretation (e.g., CAD) is considered a beneficial skill, not a core requirement
Key Responsibilities
- Animation & Motion Graphics Development
- Design and produce advanced 2D and 3D animations, visualizations, and motion graphics.
- Create animations explaining product functionality, applications, and value propositions.
- Develop animated content for marketing campaigns, launches, digital platforms, and internal storytelling.
2.Video Editing & Post-Production
- Edit raw video footage, voiceovers, motion graphics, and animation segments.
- Apply color grading, sound design, titles, transitions, and effects.
- Ensure alignment with Armstrong's global brand and visual identity standards.
3.Digital Asset Creation & Management
- Build and maintain a library of animated assets and visualization materials.
- Manage structured source files and repositories.
- Prepare assets for digital platforms, webinars, and documentation.
5. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work with Product Management, Engineering, Regional Marketing, and Communications.
- Translate inputs into storyboards, scripts, and visual treatments.
- Support visualization needs for customer education, events, and product introductions.
6. Quality, Efficiency & Continuous Improvement
- Ensure content meets global brand and quality expectations.
- Use modern tools and AI-enabled workflows to improve efficiency.
- Stay current with animation technologies and design trends.
Qualifications & Experience Required
- Extensive portfolio of Animated storytelling, Motion Graphics, Multimedia Design, Visual Communication
- 36 years of professional animation and video editing experience.
- Proficiency in: Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop
- Added bonus: Blender, Cinema4D Figma or equivalent design systems tools DaVinci Resolve or similar editing platforms
- Ability to interpret general product concepts visually.
Preferred (Nice to Have)
- Experience with 3D CAD models, engineering drawings, or technical geometry.
- Ability to build a system for photorealistic renderings and simplified vector artwork based on supplied CAD models
- Exposure to industrial or engineering-driven products.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted creative tools.
- Typographical excellence a plus
