Role Description The Anesthesiologist at MediVaah will provide comprehensive anesthesia care for patients undergoing surgical and diagnostic procedures, ensuring safety and comfort before, during, and after interventions. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting pre-anesthesia assessments, determining appropriate anesthesia plans, administering anesthesia, monitoring vital signs and patient responses, and managing post-anesthesia recovery and pain control. The role also involves collaborating closely with surgeons, nurses, and other clinicians, documenting care accurately, adhering to clinical protocols and safety standards, and participating in quality improvement initiatives. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Kasaragod, requiring regular presence in operating rooms and related clinical areas.

Qualifications

  • Strong expertise in Anesthesiology, including preoperative assessment, intraoperative management, and postoperative care.
  • Solid foundation in Medicine to evaluate patient comorbidities, interpret diagnostics, and optimize perioperative care.
  • Ability to work effectively with Surgery teams, contributing to safe procedural planning and intraoperative decision-making.
  • Proficiency in Pain Management, including acute postoperative pain control and, where applicable, chronic pain interventions.
  • Understanding of Critical Care principles to manage high-risk patients, hemodynamic instability, and emergency situations.
  • Recognized medical degree (MBBS) with specialized training and certification in Anesthesiology; valid medical registration as per local regulatory requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly with patients and clinical teams, provide informed consent explanations, and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Commitment to evidence-based practice, patient safety, continuous learning, and collaboration within multidisciplinary healthcare settings.
