About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Security Engineer to join our dynamic team at Qualcomm India Private Limited. In this role, you will be responsible for enabling security mitigation features and developing advanced tools to detect vulnerabilities within our products. Your expertise will contribute to strengthening the security posture of our offerings by working closely with cross-functional teams to understand security design reviews and provide innovative solutions. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Android OS, Linux kernel internals, and embedded programming, with a passion for identifying and mitigating security risks in complex systems.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field from a reputed institution, with a strong academic record. Candidates should have at least 2-3 years of relevant work experience in software engineering, with proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, Java, and Python. Experience with security features, kernel development, and embedded systems is essential. Knowledge of ARMv8/ARMv9 security extensions, fuzzing tools, and Linux security frameworks will be considered advantageous. The candidate should demonstrate the ability to independently drive feature development and resolve complex issues effectively.
Responsibilities
Your primary responsibilities will include developing and implementing security mitigation features at both kernel and user space levels. You will collaborate with technical teams to review security designs and provide alternative, robust solutions to enhance system security. The role involves working on Android OS, Linux kernel internals, and embedded platforms, ensuring the integration of security features without compromising system performance. You will also develop automation tools using scripting languages, conduct vulnerability assessments, and utilize fuzzing tools like Syzkaller, Trinity, or AFL to identify potential security flaws. Additionally, you will stay updated on the latest security threats and contribute to the continuous improvement of security protocols across products.
