Job Summary:

We are looking for a talented and experienced Android Mobile App Developer to join our team in Chennai. The ideal candidate will have a strong command of Android development tools and frameworks, and a passion for building high-performance, user-friendly mobile applications. You will collaborate with product managers, designers, and other developers to deliver innovative mobile solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design and build advanced applications for the Android platform using Kotlin and/or Java.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.

- Work with outside data sources and APIs (RESTful, GraphQL, etc.).

- Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability.

- Work on bug fixing and improving application performance.

- Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.

- Participate in code reviews and mentor junior developers.

- Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the application.

- Maintain code quality, organization, and automation.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

- 57 years of professional experience in Android app development.

- Proficient in Kotlin and Java.

- Strong knowledge of Android SDK, different versions of Android, and how to deal with different screen sizes.

- Experience with Android Jetpack components (LiveData, ViewModel, Navigation, Room, etc.).

- Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services.

- Experience with third-party libraries and APIs (e.g., Retrofit, Glide, Firebase).

- Solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle.

- Experience with version control systems like Git.

- Familiarity with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) tools and processes.

- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
