About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Security Engineer to join our team at Qualcomm India Private Limited. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing security mitigation features within the kernel and user space, focusing on Android OS and related technologies. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to review security designs, identify vulnerabilities, and develop innovative solutions to enhance device security. The candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the robustness of Qualcomm's security frameworks by leveraging their expertise in Linux kernel internals, embedded programming, and security extensions. The position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge security features that protect millions of devices globally, ensuring the integrity and confidentiality of data in a rapidly evolving technological landscape.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate should possess a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field from a reputed institution, with a strong academic record. A Master's or PhD degree is preferred for advanced roles. Candidates must have a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in software engineering, with a focus on security, kernel development, or embedded systems. Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, Java, and Python is essential. Experience with Android OS, Linux kernel internals, and security extensions like ARMv8/ARMv9 is highly desirable. Knowledge of fuzzing tools, automation scripting, and architecture-specific security features will be advantageous. The candidate should demonstrate the ability to independently drive feature development and resolve complex security issues, showcasing strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for developing security mitigation features at both kernel and user space levels. You will collaborate with technical teams to review security architecture, identify vulnerabilities, and propose alternative design solutions to enhance device security. Your tasks will include implementing security patches, developing automation tools for vulnerability detection, and integrating security features aligned with industry standards. Additionally, you will stay updated on the latest security threats and advancements, contributing to the continuous improvement of Qualcomm's security frameworks. The role requires independently managing feature development, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring the timely delivery of secure solutions that meet organizational and industry security benchmarks.
