JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for an Android Audio Framework/HAL Engineer to work on audio system components within the Android platform. The role involves developing, integrating, and optimizing audio features at both framework and HAL levels, ensuring high-quality audio performance across devices.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain components within the Android Audio Framework and Hardware Abstraction Layer (HAL).

Work with audio services such as Native MediaPlayer, Audio Policy Manager, AudioFlinger, AudioTrack, and AudioManager.

Implement and optimize audio buffering mechanisms for smooth playback and low latency.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate audio features into Android builds.

Debug and resolve audio-related issues across framework and HAL layers.

Contribute to build system configurations using Soong and Make.
