Job Description

The Android Software Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Android applications using Kotlin. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of experience and will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality mobile solutions that meet business needs. This role offers the opportunity to work as a mid-level or senior developer, depending on experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, test, and maintain robust and scalable Android applications using Kotlin.
  • Collaborate with designers, project managers, and other developers to implement new features and enhancements.
  • Participate in the entire mobile app development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, coding, testing, and deployment.
  • Debug and resolve technical issues to ensure smooth operation and optimal performance of Android applications.
  • Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and security.
  • Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards.
  • Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance as needed.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve development processes and standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree BE, B Tech, MSC IT, MCA (Computer Engineering)
  • 1-3 years of experience as an Android Developer or similar role, with a focus on Kotlin.
  • Strong proficiency in Kotlin programming and Android development frameworks.
  • Experience with Android development tools, such as Android Studio.
  • Proficiency in integrating RESTful APIs and third-party services into mobile applications.
  • Familiarity with version control systems, especially Git.
  • Understanding of mobile app security, performance optimization, and best practices.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with DevOps practices and tools.
  • Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Familiarity with cloud services and backend integration.
Work Environment:

  • The position may require occasional on-call or after-hours work to address urgent issues.
