Overview of Role As the ideal Android Developer, you are a hands-on engineer with Kotlin, who can do a deep technical dive into the mobile ecosystem and communicate effectively with product owners, designers, and other engineers. You love taking a visionfrom mock-ups and user storiesand wrangling the complexities of the Android platform, various device screen sizes, and system APIs into an elegant, high-performance mobile application. This role is a chance to have a huge impact on how a business connects with its users on a daily basis, placing the power of the product directly in the hands of millions of customers worldwide.
Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and maintain Android applications using Kotlin and Java.
- Design and implement user-friendly UI and smooth navigation.
- Work with RESTful APIs, Firebase, and cloud-based services.
- Ensure application performance, security, and scalability.
- Debug and troubleshoot issues to improve app stability.
- Implement unit tests, UI tests, and integration tests.
- Stay up to date with Android SDK updates and best practices.
- Optimize applications for speed, responsiveness, and efficiency.
- Work closely with UI/UX designers to create seamless user experiences.
- Integrate push notifications, analytics, and payment gateways.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science or similar.
- 5+ years of experience Android Development with Kotlin.
- Experience with RESTful APIs, JSON, and third-party libraries.
- Familiarity with Google Play Store deployment and app lifecycle.
- Knowledge of Room Database, SQLite, and Firebase Realtime Database.
- Experience with Android Studio, Gradle, and Git version control.
- Understanding of material design principles and responsive layouts.
- Strong debugging and performance optimization skills.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing tools. Excellent problem-solving and teamwork skills.
