Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Android Engineer to join our mobile engineering team and contribute to the development of high-quality, scalable Android applications used by thousands of users daily. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in Android app development using Java and Kotlin, excellent debugging skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross-location teams in a fast-paced, agile environment.

Key Skills (Mandatory)
- 34 years of hands-on Android application development experience
- Strong expertise in Java and Android Studio
- Minimum 1 year of Kotlin development experience
- Experience testing apps on physical devices, emulators, and simulators
- Strong knowledge of Android debugging tools and workflows
- Proficiency in ADB commands and profiling tools
- Experience debugging REST APIs using Charles or Fiddler
- Hands-on experience with Firebase SDK (Analytics, Crashlytics, etc.)
- Minimum 2 live Android applications published on Google Play Store (links required)
- Experience working with cross-location and distributed teams
Responsibilities
- Develop, enhance, and maintain Android applications using Java and Kotlin
- Participate in requirement analysis, technical design discussions, and code reviews
- Ensure high-quality code through thorough testing and debugging
- Collaborate with backend, QA, and product teams for seamless API integration
- Troubleshoot issues using ADB, profiling tools, and debugging proxies
- Implement app features using Firebase SDK
- Follow secure coding standards, documentation practices, and engineering guidelines
- Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes and build pipelines
Preferred Skills (Good to Have)
- Exposure to OTT platforms such as Roku, Fire TV, and Apple TV
- Knowledge of Play Store and App Store publishing processes
- Experience with Google Analytics or similar analytics tools
- Familiarity with Gradle build automation and CI/CD workflows
Qualifications
- BE / BTech / MCA or equivalent technical qualification
- 24 years of relevant Android application development experience
