Your Role
As a Perfume Analyst, you will provide essential analytical support to our fragrance development and quality teams. You will play a key role in GC-MS analysis, raw material evaluation, formulation support, and laboratory operations, helping ensure consistency, compliance, and excellence across our fragrance portfolio.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both hands-on laboratory work and close collaboration with perfumers and chemists.
Key Responsibilities
- PerformGC-MS analysisof finished fragrances, aroma chemicals, and essential oils to supportfragrance development, benchmarking, and quality control
- Independentlyplan, prioritize, and execute analytical work, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and timely reporting
- Interpret chromatographic dataand provide clear, actionable insights
- Carry outroutine instrument calibration, performance verification, and basic maintenanceof GC / GC-MS systems
- Prepare and maintain accurateanalytical documentation, including analysis reports, SOPs, COAs, and internal records
- Conductphysical and quality control testssuch as refractive index, optical rotation, specific gravity, and related evaluations
- Ensure asafe, clean, and well-organized laboratory environment, in compliance with safety and quality guidelines
- Proactively identify opportunities toimprove analytical methods, workflows, and laboratory practices
- Coordinate with externalvendors and service providersfor instrument servicing, repairs, and laboratory consumables
- Supportonboarding and trainingof junior team members on laboratory procedures, analytical methods, and best practices
Your Profile
- ABachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistryor a related scientific discipline
- Mandatory:3-5 years of hands-on experience analysing finished fragrances, fragrance compounds, aroma chemicals, and/or essential oils, withindependent interpretation of GC / GC-MS data
- Demonstrated ability tooperate GC / GC-MS instruments end-to-end, including sample preparation, method execution, data processing, peak identification, andresult interpretation
- Proven experiencedrawing conclusions from chromatograms, identifying key components, anomalies, or deviations, andclearly communicating analytical findings
- Strong working knowledge oflaboratory SOPs, quality practices, and analytical documentation
- Good computer skills with familiarity inanalytical software and reporting tools
- A strong sense of responsibility towardsafety, accuracy, and continuous improvement
- Ability to work both collaboratively and independently in asmall, fast-growing team environment
- Fluency inEnglish(spoken and written)
Note: Candidates with GC-MS experience limited to environmental, wastewater, paint, polymer, dairy, food, or pharma-only applications will not be considered.
