About the Role:
Wolters Kluwer is seeking a motivated and talented professional as an Xactly Product Development Internal Consultant (Analyst) to join a newly created Incentive Compensation & Planning COE that will support 5 core divisions, approximately 55 subsidiaries, and 3,000+ sellers across 140+ countries. The COE will partner with the various Divisions & Business Units while remaining a strong partner to the Sales Transformation team within the Corporate Strategy, Innovation, and M&A Group.
In this role, you will have an exciting opportunity to develop new capabilities in Xactly that will drive operational excellence to Sales, Sales Ops, Finance, HR, and other partnering functions to Incentive Compensation & Planning. Your role will act as an internal technical consultant responsible for configuring core Comp Plans & Incentives as well as partnering with Sales Transformation and other cross-functional stakeholders to ideate & develop scalable solutions that drives sales performance excellence and ultimately boosts revenue.
Responsibilities:
- Develop solutions in Xactly to modernize internal operations that drive business value, efficiency, etc. Xactly's R&D and product enhancements across Extend, Connect & Reporting have opened new opportunities to get creative and scale solutions that were never possible in the past
- Support and/or develop processes to govern data models, security, and retention across the sales compensation program's ecosystem
- Develop and implement advanced and adoptable processes, modernized functionality, and ensure global technical preparedness for all global commissions systems (7-8 Xactly instances)
- Support strategic projects to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
- Support Xactly Administrators and Analytics teams to resolve challenges for the business to operative effectively
- Oversee configuration and development deployments across environments and instances
- Support the broader Xactly COE in driving value to the organization, including key partnerships with the COE Analytics, Administration and Change Management & Governance teams, as well as peers in the Xactly development team
- Assess, configure, and deploy commission/incentive plans, workflows and custom apps (in Xactly Extend)
Skills & Experiences:
- 2+ years in Sales Comp related responsibilities with knowledge of Xactly modules
- Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, or a related field
- Xactly Administrator and Plan Configuration Certification(s), or ability to obtain after onboarding
- Proven experience in sales compensation administration, governance, and/or technical design, with an understanding of compensation methodologies and functional best practices.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to generate insightful analytics from complex data
- Strong interpersonal skills, capable of building relationships across various teams.
- Experience managing and/or dispositioning incentive compensation related disputes & inquiries or ability to interpret challenges from the sales organization and synthesize challenges while considering policies and processes.
- Ability to identify root causes of common disputes/inquiries or other related challenges, then recommending/delivering process/policy/technology changes that strengthen operational excellence.
- Proven experience calculating commissions and generating payroll submission files.
- Ability to think strategically while considering tactical implications.
- Strong Hands on with PowerPoint and Excel
- Coding: SQL (beginner to intermediate)
Nice to Have:
- Certifications from other ICM systems (i.e. Varicent, SAP-Callidus)
- Sales Operation/Sales Admin experience across industry
