Roles And Responsibility
- Process multi-state payroll for US employees in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Review and validate payroll inputs, including timesheets, bonuses, benefits, deductions, and tax adjustments. Handle garnishments, tax liens, and other payroll deductions.
- Ensure payroll operations adhere to all federal, state, and local tax laws. Prepare and file payroll tax returns, including quarterly and annual filings. Respond to tax agency inquiries and resolve discrepancies.
- Conduct regular audits of payroll data to ensure accuracy and compliance. Reconcile payroll accounts with the general ledger and resolve discrepancies. Support month-end and year-end close processes, including W-2 preparation and distribution.
- Address employee inquiries regarding pay, taxes, and deductions. Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies in a timely manner. Educate employees on payroll-related processes, such as direct deposit and tax withholding.
- Identify and implement enhancements to payroll processes to increase efficiency and reduce errors. Document payroll procedures and policies and provide training to stakeholders as needed.
