Job Description
- Maintenance of existing technical documentation based on technical inputs.
- Ability to explain complex technical issues in an easily understandable way for the end user.
- Analyze the SME & Engineering data input to create and update the maintenance documents using technical writing standards.
- Ability to collaborate with SMEs in the global work environment.
- Utilize the 2D drawings, 3D CAD data, and graphic options to visually represent the step-by-step installation/service procedure specific to parts/assemblies.
- Create state-of-the-art illustrations as exploded views in isometric angles using Illustration tools.
- Standardize content and document types using the Content Management system.
- Background experience in creating/editing technical Manuals (Technical Writer/Adobe InDesign/Adobe Illustrator).
- Must be able to collaborate with SMEs to prioritize and work on multiple projects in a fast-paced, challenging environment.
- Must be able to read and interpret Engineering drawings.
- Strong Knowledge in end-to-end documentation creation process.
- Working knowledge in PTC windchill/PDM Link, Arbor text Editor and XML are Preferred.
- Experience with Product Lifecycle Management systems (Teamcenter, Windchill)
- Good Working Knowledge of Illustration tools like Adobe Illustrator, Arbor text IsoDraw, Illustrate, or similar tools.
- Working Knowledge of Schema ST4 or other content management systems is preferred.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience as an effective technical writer/ InDesign graphic designer
- Proven ability to quickly learn and understand complex subject matter and a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
