Job Description
Relevant Experience:
- MBA or M.Pharm professional (or equivalent bachelor's degree holder) with 2+ years of experience in the Life Sciences & IT industry, including over 1+ year of focused experience in Project Portfolio Management (PPM) functions.
- Experienced in supporting PPM implementations and RFP solutioning for pharmaceutical and biotech clients, driving portfolio visibility, governance, and decision-making efficiency.
- Hands-on exposure to PPM tools such as Planisware, Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, and Oracle Primavera.
- Strong understanding of drug development lifecycle (Discovery to Launch) and functional areas including R&D, Clinical Trials, Regulatory Affairs, and CMC.
- Skilled in building data-driven dashboards (Power BI, Tableau) for portfolio performance, resource capacity, and financial forecasting.
- Experience in managing project management tools such as Jira, Microsoft Planner, Trello, Asana, Monday.com, ClickUp, Smartsheet.
Role Purpose
Project Portfolio Management (PPM) Presales and Delivery support:
- The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of PPM processes, tools, and best practices, and serve as a subject matter expert to drive portfolio transparency, governance, and delivery excellence
- This role focuses on building comprehensive RFP/RFI/RFQ responses by thoroughly understanding client requirements and collaborating with internal stakeholders to develop winning PPM and Life Sciences solutions.
- Partner with delivery and sales teams to develop PPM solution proposals, demos, and proof-of-concepts, highlighting the business value, ROI, and process optimization benefits for clients.
- Shape overall solution strategy by defining approach, team structure, pricing models, and differentiators to best fit client objectives.
- Bring the latest industry insights, PPM best practices, benchmarking data, and competitive intelligence to strengthen proposals and client presentations.
- Work closely with internal teams to gather data and inputs for proposal documents, sales decks, client presentations, and supporting collaterals.
- Develop and deliver tailored presentations and demonstrations showcasing PPM tools and frameworks such as Planisware, Microsoft Project Online, and Power BI.
- Bridge the gap between technical capabilities and business needs by translating complex PPM functionalities into tangible business outcomes.
- Support implementation of PPM frameworks and governance models including Stage-Gate, portfolio prioritization, resource & capacity management, and risk mitigation planning.
- Collaborate with PMO, IT, and Finance teams to align project financials, milestones, and resource data across enterprise systems (e.g., SAP, PeopleSoft).
- Assist in portfolio optimization, capital planning, and benefits realization by performing detailed project and resource data analysis.
- Design and support Power BI dashboards and KPI-driven reports for executive decision-making, tracking performance across R&D portfolios.
- Ensure PPM processes comply with corporate governance, regulatory (GxP), and audit requirements, maintaining consistency and transparency across programs.
- Drive effective communication and collaboration throughout the proposal and solution lifecycle to ensure alignment between presales, delivery, and client teams.
Strategy
- Conduct research to identify target accounts and market opportunities within the Life Sciences sector.
- Analyze competitive landscapes and client maturity to design tailored PPM and presales engagement strategies.
- Collaborate with marketing and delivery teams to shape go-to-market positioning and service offerings.
- Develop strategic thought leadership content, such as capability decks, whitepapers, and benchmarking reports.
- Support client engagement from the initial conversation through proposal delivery and solution walkthroughs.
Skills Required:
- Prior presales experience in the IT or Life Science industry is preferred.

- Create compliant RFx outlines and manage proposal timelines, reviews, and submission milestones.
- Collaborate with deal teams, practice leads, and delivery managers to align presales deliverables and responsibilities.
- Ensure effective communication and documentation throughout the proposal and solutioning lifecycle.
- Contribute to internal knowledge repositories for reusable PPM and presales content.
- Support post-proposal follow-ups, including clarification sessions and demo support.
