Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled
Senior Analyst with expertise in
indirect spend categories and inflation forecasting to join our Analytics Solution team. The ideal candidate will specialize in building forecasts across key indirect categories such as MRO, facilities management, IT services, professional services, and others.
This role requires close collaboration with client procurement teams and internal stakeholders to deliver accurate, timely, and data-driven insights that support strategic sourcing and cost-management initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain robust inflation and price-forecasting models for indirect categories using statistical, cost model and market intelligence techniques
- Analyze macroeconomic indicators, supplier cost structures, industry indices, labor market trends, and input cost drivers impacting indirect spend inflation
- Build and validate cost breakdown models for indirect categories to identify key cost drivers and assess volatility and risk exposure
- Prepare and deliver clear, concise inflation outlook reports, dashboards, and presentations for clients
- Support custom forecasting requests and ensure high-quality, on-time delivery of client outputs
Category Expertise
- Conduct in-depth research and market analysis across indirect categories professional services, facilities management, MRO, IT services etc
- Monitor market movements, supplier dynamics, capacity trends, regulatory changes, and industry cost structures affecting indirect spend
- Analyze category-specific inflation levers such as labor cost trends, energy price fluctuations, transportation rate movements, and service-based cost drivers to enhance forecast accuracy
- Evaluate supplier pricing models and index linkages across indirect categories to understand margin structures and benchmarking opportunities
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of Statistical Data Analysis, Forecasting and Statistical Modelling
- Experience in creating and testing category forecasting frameworks for indirect spend, leveraging market inputs, supplier economics, and external indices to validate assumptions and ensure accuracy
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and data visualization tools (Power BI/Tableau)
Qualifications & Skills
- Master's degree in economics, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2-3 years of experience in inflation analysis, price forecasting, cost modeling, or procurement analyticspreferably focused on indirect spend categories.
- Experience working with large datasets, industry indices, and procurement cost structures
- Strong communication skills with the ability to simplify technical insights for non-technical stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented, strong problem-solving mindset, and ability to manage multiple priorities under tight timelines.
