Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled
Analyst/Senior Analyst with expertise in
the category inflation and commodity price forecasting to join our Analytics Solution team. The individual will be responsible for building statistical models for commodities, preparing price forecast reports and delivering accurate, data-driven insights. This role involves working with client procurement teams, as well as Beroe's internal teams, to ensure high-quality, timely delivery of customized forecasting solutions
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain robust forecasting models for commodities and price indices using econometric techniques, market trends, and historical data
- Monitor global commodity markets, supply-demand dynamics, and macroeconomic indicators impacting price movements
- In depth understanding of commodities markets across categories such as petro-chemicals, solvents, agro, metals, etc.
- Build and validate cost breakdown models for critical categories to identify cost drivers, weightages and their respective outlook.
- Deliver clear, concise reports and dashboards summarizing commodity price outlook, inflation trends, and cost structure insights.
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of Statistical Data Analysis, Forecasting and Statistical Modelling (Multiple Linear Regression, VAR modelling, Logistic Regression, Factor analysis and Time Series Analysis).
- Experience in design and development of complex statistical models and build hypothesis on the commodity data and test for validity
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and data visualization tools (Power BI/Tableau)
Qualifications & Skills
- Master's degree in economics, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 1-2 years of experience in commodity price forecasting, inflation analysis, or cost modeling
- Experience in building time-series and econometric models using R/Python
- Excellent client-facing communication and stakeholder management skills
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a detail-oriented approach
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver under tight timelines
