Conduct research on Emerging Markets (EM) with a focus on macroeconomic conditions, capital flows, currency trends, policy developments, and credit dynamics across key EM regions.
Leverage strong understanding of Indian sectoral and economic trends, using this as a foundation to interpret and contextualize developments across broader EM economies. (Preference for candidates with domestic brokerage research experience.)
Support the S&P Analyst in evaluating how emerging market shifts, geopolitical developments, monetary policies, and global risk sentiment affect credit conditions and the rated universe.
Assist in the data preparation and analysis of EM capital markets including CDS movements, bond issuances, sovereign and corporate spread behavior, FX trends, yield curves, and market liquidity indicators.
Prepare periodic and customized EM-focused reports summarizing key data points, highlighting early warning signals, and interpreting implications for credit markets.
Contribute to the enhancement of EM research and analytical tools, leveraging Python and modern data techniques where relevant.
Establish scalable and efficient data workflows for multi-country EM data, supporting automation and repeatability for large datasets.
Analyze and interpret complex EM datasets to identify trends, market dislocations, cross-country relationships, and sectoral patterns.
Work closely with the Manager and S&P Analyst, providing timely updates on progress, key findings, or any issues that may affect deliverables.
Actively participate in client/team discussions and EM-focused review meetings, flagging any emerging risks, inconsistencies, or operational bottlenecks.
Use Excel and other analytical tools to prepare structured, high-quality data outputs and written narratives.
Update operating manuals to capture EM-specific processes, newly learned methodologies, and changes in analytical approaches.
Participate in knowledge-sharing forums across GAC, especially those focused on Emerging Markets, fixed income, and macro research.
