Job Description

We are seeking a motivated Analyst to join our Public Affairs team, focusing on Indian policy research, communications, and strategic engagement. This is a hands-on role supporting public affairs campaigns, monitoring policy developments, coordinating client activities, and driving impactful communication programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Track and monitor Indian government policies and media coverage across multiple accounts, identifying and articulating the impact of legislative and regulatory changes for clients.
  • Serve as a day-to-day support for client teams, assisting in policy research, engagement strategy roll-outs, and preparation of briefing materials.
  • Draft concise public affairs briefings, reports, policy notes, and communication materials for internal and client use.
  • Support stakeholder engagement activities, including helping organize meetings, events, media interactions, and client forums.
  • Assist in the organization and preparation of materials for client engagements, stakeholder meetings, and media briefings.
  • Conduct research and analysis on a variety of policy issues; identify market and policy trends relevant to clients.
  • Coordinate across internal Edelman teams (India and regional) to help roll out various client workstreams effectively.
  • Participate in regular client conference calls and document key discussion points and follow-up actions.

Skills And Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree in Public Policy, Political Science, International Relations, Communications, Journalism, or related fields.
  • 02 years of experience in policy research, public affairs, strategic communication, or consulting.
  • Strong research and analytical skills with the ability to distill complex policy issues into actionable insights.
  • Understanding of Indian government structures, policy-making processes, and media landscape.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create clear and concise materials for senior audiences.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Enthusiastic, proactive, and collaborative team player.
