Job Description: Analyst (Private Equity Investor Relations)
Our client is a highly-regarded Asia-focused private equity investment firm, investing in high-quality businesses and fund managers across the region. With an excellent investment track record that spans decades, they partner with GPs, founders, management teams, and investors to build long-term value through disciplined capital allocation, active portfolio management, and thoughtful engagement with stakeholders.
As they continue to grow in the region, they are looking for an Analyst to join their Investor Relations team. This is an exciting role that sits at the intersection of investment analysis, investor communication, portfolio reporting, fundraising execution, and internal project management.
Key Responsibilities
A) Investor Reporting, Fundraising & LP Engagement
- Support fundraising efforts through the preparation of pitch books, case studies, LP meeting materials, and follow-up notes among others.
- Support LP engagement through meeting preparation, agendas, briefing notes, CRM updates, and fundraising pipeline management.
- Support the Events and Marketing team with planning and execution of investor-facing events, including AGMs, annual investor meetings and field trips. Manage key event presentation materials, stakeholder coordination, logistics and post-event follow-up.
- Coordinate investor DDQs, RFIs, diligence requests, and related input collection across internal teams, ensuring clear ownership, deadlines, version control, approvals, and escalation of open items.
- Coordinate review processes with investment, finance, legal, compliance, and senior leadership teams to ensure materials are accurate, consistent, and aligned with the company's tone and positioning.
B) Investment Materials and Thought Leadership
- Manage and drive multiple inputs from various teams to produce quarterly progress reports for LP consumption.
- Work with investment and finance teams to ensure fund metrics, portfolio KPIs, valuation data, and performance figures are accurate, consistent, and clearly presented.
- Build clean charts, tables, and slides that communicate performance drivers, risks, and portfolio developments effectively.
- Draft and support market updates, macro commentary, white papers, sector notes, and investor-facing thought pieces.
- Monitor developments relevant to Asian private markets, fundraising conditions, exit markets, portfolio construction, and LP allocation trends.
- Synthesize third-party research, public market data, and internal investment perspectives into concise, differentiated content.
C) Process Improvement & AI-Enabled Workflows
- Use AI and automation tools responsibly to improve research, drafting, data organization, DDQ workflows, investor reporting, and fundraising processes.
- Design repeatable templates, trackers, prompts, and workflows to improve productivity, consistency, and scalability.
- Apply appropriate controls around confidentiality, data accuracy, source verification, and human review when using AI-enabled tools.
- Proactively identify opportunities to make IR and fundraising processes more efficient, scalable, and less manual.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics or other related fields
- 2 -3 years related work experience
- A detailed, clear and thoughtful writer who can explain complex financial topics simply.
- Comfortable being front-facing with investors, senior colleagues, and internal stakeholders.
- Commercially aware, intellectually curious, and interested in financial markets. Able to balance speed with accuracy.
- AI-native, but not careless — you know how to use tools for leverage while verifying outputs and protecting confidential information.
- High integrity and discretion when handling confidential information.
- Calm under pressure and able to manage competing deadlines without losing quality.
