Job Purpose
Industry Risk Analyst, with 4
-10 years of relevant experience covering various industries/ sectors such as EPCs, Infrastructure (Roads, Ports and Airports/ Airlines), Metal & Metal Products, Automobiles & Ancillaries, Edible Oils, Energy (incl. Renewable Energy), Telecom, Textile, Pharmaceuticals, Financial Institutions (NBFCs, Capital Markets).
Key Responsibilities
Primary Responsibilities
- Develop in-house expertise through incisive analysis of high-exposure industries and sectors in the bank's portfolio.
- Conduct sector-agnostic assessments covering demand-supply dynamics, cost structures, competitiveness, and regulatory frameworks.
- Identify sectors under stress or recovery using early warning indicators, industry benchmarks, and peer reviews.
- Provide medium-term outlooks on key parameters for high-exposure sectors.
- Perform portfolio analysis to evaluate financial performance trends of companies within specific industries.
- Develop industry-specific financial and operational metrics to support credit evaluation.
- Present research findings and reports to senior management and other stakeholders.
- Publish reports covering sector trends, auto sales data, commodity prices, industry health, and more.
- Take ownership of regulatory submissions, including reports on stressed and correlated sectors.
- Optionally participate in credit risk assessments for Financial Institution clients.
Secondary Responsibilities
- Stay updated with market intelligence through peer networking and industry publications.
- Recommend improvements to processes and policies to enhance operational efficiency and service quality.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to leverage synergies across the Wholesale Banking business.
What We Are Looking For
Education
- Graduation: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Economics, Finance, Business, Statistics)
- Post-graduation: MBA, CA
Experience
- Minimum 4yrs relevant experience.
Skills and Attributes
- Excellent research and analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex industry data
- Strong understanding of macroeconomic and sectoral trends
- Experience in preparing regulatory submissions and board-level presentations
- Effective communication and presentation skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams
- Proficiency in data visualization and reporting tools

- Timely publication and presentation of high-quality reports, including:
- Industry-related trackers (e.g., corporate performance, share pledges, auto sales)
- Policy and board presentations (e.g., stressed sectors, correlated sectors)
- RBI submissions and economic/industry surveys
