Role Summary
We are looking for a Media Planning Executive who will function as a junior planner, focused on data accuracy, reconciliation, and day‑to‑day support for the Planning Manager and Media Director. This role is heavily hands‑on with numbers, sheets, and documentation, ensuring that plans, buys, and reports are complete, consistent, and ready for client use.
What You'll Do
Planning Support
- Assist in building media plans and flowcharts across digital channels (social, programmatic, video, display, etc.) using standard templates.
- Populate planning sheets with budgets, impressions, CPx metrics, and flighting details based on guidance from the manager/director.
- Help prepare plan decks and summaries for internal and client reviews, ensuring all numbers match the underlying Excel files.
Data, Reconciliation & QA
- Reconcile plans vs. actuals: compare planned vs. booked vs. delivered data and flag variances (budget, pacing, impressions, clicks, etc.).
- Regularly update tracking sheets, campaign calendars, and status documents so stakeholders see the latest view.
- Run basic QA checks on media plans, IOs, and reports (totals, dates, targeting, naming conventions) to catch errors early.
- Maintain organized records of approvals, screenshots, invoices, and partner reports in shared folders.
Reporting & Performance Tracking
- Pull performance data from dashboards into centralized templates.
- Help build weekly/monthly reports and dashboards with clean, consistent data (no missing fields, correct formulas).
- Support the manager/director in creating simple charts and tables that show trends and highlight key outcomes.
Operational & Administrative Support
- Assist with filling in and updating CDDs/approval documents with correct media details.
- Support coordination with channel teams and vendors by sharing briefs, collecting confirmations, and tracking deliverables.
- Take meeting notes, capture action items, and follow up on pending tasks across the team.
- Contribute to process documents, checklists, and best‑practice libraries as they evolve.
Requirements
- 0.6 months–2 years of experience in media planning, digital marketing, or analytics; internships/trainee roles also considered.
- Strong comfort with numbers and spreadsheets; good working knowledge of Excel/Google Sheets (sumifs, vlookup/xlookup, pivot tables are a plus).
- Basic understanding of digital channels and metrics (impressions, clicks, CTR, CPM, CPC, CPA, reach, frequency) or willingness to learn quickly.
- High attention to detail and accuracy; enjoys reconciling numbers and fixing inconsistencies.
- Good written and verbal communication; able to clearly document work and follow instructions.
- Proactive, organised, and comfortable handling multiple small tasks in parallel with tight deadlines.
- Available to work full‑time in India hours (9 AM–5 PM IST) to align with the PGD and India hub teams.
Core Competencies
- Detail orientation and data discipline
- Ownership of routine tasks and follow‑through
- Curiosity and willingness to learn planning concepts
- Collaboration and support mindset
- Time management and prioritisation
