How You Will Make an Impact

American Express Global Commercial Services (GCS) is a global leader in the commercial payments solutions space and continues to be an exciting and fast-growing business dedicated exclusively to the success of businesses globally. GCS provides a range of Corporate Payments Solutions and other expense management tools to help small, mid, and large companies around the world manage all facets of their business spending.

We are seeking a strategic, hands-on analytics professional who thrives at the intersection of data, governance, reporting, and performance management. This role will advance our analytics strategy, evolve enterprise reporting, and drive transformative insights that shape business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

As an Analyst, Reporting, Insights & Analytics, you will play a pivotal role in driving data-driven performance management across the enterprise by:

Reporting, Insights & Analytics

  • Deliver timely, accurate, and visually compelling reports, dashboards, and insights that support business performance evaluation.
  • Understand business objectives and customer needs to design innovative analytical solutions using SQL, Python, Tableau, and big-data platforms.
  • Identify opportunities to automate, optimize, and standardize reporting and analytics processes.
  • Conduct deep-dive analyses to diagnose business drivers, uncover opportunities, and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Provide supplier & spend analytics to support GCS/ICS field teams and G&S spend strategies.

Strategic Support

  • Translate business problems into structured analytical approaches delivering meaningful outcomes.
  • Enable seamless monitoring of project performance metrics and its visibility to the senior stakeholders
  • Conduct ad hoc analyses to support growth strategies, operational improvements, and forward-looking decision-making.
  • Own end-to-end analytics delivery-from data exploration & analysis to visualization and insight generation.

Project & Stakeholder Management

  • Manage assigned analytics projects, prioritizing tasks based on business objectives and dependencies.
  • Ensure clear communication of insights, methodology, and project progress to stakeholders.
  • Monitor and track performance metrics, ensuring visibility and understanding among business partners.

Governance & Process Excellence

  • Maintain high data quality, governance, and compliance standards across all reporting and analytics activities.
  • Streamline workflows and recommend process efficiencies that enhance scalability and reliability.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 0-2 years of experience in analytics, reporting, strategy, operations, or program management (financial services or technology preferred).
  • Graduate or Post-graduate degree in Engineering, Economics, Statistics, or Management preferred
  • Strong analytical skills with hands-on expertise in SQL, Hive, Python, and data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Excellent communication and data storytelling skills, with proven experience developing executive-level presentations.

Preferred Qualification

Experience with automation, predictive analytics, GenAI applications in reporting, and big-data platforms (e.g., Cornerstone)

Background in B2B payments, sales processes, procurement, or accounts payable data is a plus
