As Analyst Credit Risk Quality Review Team, you'll be responsible to undertake sample-based Quality review of the portfolio assigned measuring and reporting on the accuracy of Critical Data Elements, PD (if applicable), and exceptions along-with focus on underwriting/approval quality to identify potential process improvements and assist with training opportunities.

About The Team
The GB Credit Risk Quality Review Team shall be responsible for
- Quality Assurance- sample based review of underwriting/approval quality to identify potential process improvements, assist with training opportunities
- Quality Control- sample based review of Critical Data elements as per Business Unit/Loan Type, Exceptions and PD Scorecard Accuracy
- Formalize sample review outcome and findings in a structured manner, improving reporting and data-driven decision-making.
- Work with system owners, data stewards, and/or operations to make any necessary edits to system of records for ensuring accuracy of Critical Data Items.
- The scope of review includes auto decisioning as well as manual sign off
- The results shall help management identify operational weaknesses, risks associated with function and/or processes, training needs and process deficiencies.
Portfolio under review includes (but not limited to)
- Specialty Commercial consists of Tailored Lending, Community Development Finance, Premium Wine, and Non-Profit Finance
- Business Credit Unit consists of General Business, SBA Lending (Lending to small business typically backed by a government guarantee) and Community Association Banking (Lending to Homeowners Associations)
- Retail Consumer Lending with high volume - retail and wealth products.

The candidate shall play a crucial role in the implementation of quality control and assurance practice within organization and shall be essential for delivering solutions that drive the organization toward enhanced quality and thematic transformation.
Key Deliverables
- Undertake Sample based quality review of the portfolio assigned and record observations from the review - ensure attention to detail across sub-processes to identify risks and ensure compliance with the Bank's credit policies
- Formalize sample review outcome and findings - Ensure Process deficiencies / potential sensitive issues are identified and escalated as appropriate
- Work with system owners, data stewards, and/or operations to make any necessary edits to system of records for ensuring accuracy of Critical Data Items
- Work closely with the Process Optimization & Governance Leadership Team, reporting on quality issues in a timely manner to ensure they are remediated. Follow up as needed for additional testing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to complete accuracy of critical data elements and improve the quality of reviews
- Assist to develop and establish procedures, risk assessment and controls to drive effective QA/QC coverage and standards
- Ensure all quality review operational activities are well documented in accordance with internal policies and regulatory/audit requirements.
- Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) and provide guidance on issues, policies, and required advancements.

Functional Skills
- Expertise in Commercial Lending / Audit
- Strong understanding of various classes of debt (secured/unsecured/subordinated), collaterals and mortgages
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Outstanding attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to multitask.
- Ability to work in a team environment and coordinating with various stakeholders.
Technical Skills
- Proven capability to work independently without hand holding and exercising sound judgment & initiative.
- Ability to be flexible with shift timings (2 pm 11 pm IST shift timing applicable)
- Post Graduation Management or Commerce / MBA (Finance) / Chartered Accountant / ACCA
- Up to 1-5 years of banking experience in credit risk management / Audit Function
- Exposure to US accounting, GAAP, and IFRS
