Job Summary

The Civil Testing Analyst is responsible for performing, and reporting tests on civil engineering materials such as cement, aggregate, cubes, Tiles & Gypsum boards.

The Analyst – Building Material Testing is responsible for conducting laboratory and field tests on construction materials to ensure compliance with relevant standards and specifications. The role involves analyzing test data, preparing technical reports, and supporting quality assurance for construction and infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform laboratory and on-site testing of building materials such as concrete, cement, aggregates, Cubes, AAC Blocks, soil, Tiles, Gypsum boards, steel, bricks, and admixtures
  • Conduct tests according to national and international standards (e.g., ASTM, IS, BS, ISO-17025)
  • Analyze test results and interpret material performance and compliance
  • Prepare accurate test reports, certificates, and technical documentation
  • Maintain testing equipment, calibration records, and laboratory cleanliness
  • Assist in investigation of material failures and non-conformities
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and laboratory procedures
  • Coordinate with engineers, project managers, and clients regarding test requirements
  • Maintain proper records of samples, results, and quality control data

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Materials Engineering, or a related field
  • Relevant certification in material testing (preferred but not mandatory)

Experience

  • 3– 5 years of experience in a construction materials testing laboratory (for junior roles)
  • Experience with concrete, cubes, soil, and aggregate testing preferred

Technical Skills

  • Knowledge of building material properties and testing methods
  • Familiarity with laboratory equipment and testing instruments
  • Understanding of construction quality standards and codes
  • Basic data analysis and report writing skills
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and documentation tools

Soft Skills

  • Strong attention to detail
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to follow procedures and meet deadlines
