About The Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Cash Application Analyst to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have at least 4+ years of experience in cash application or similar financial roles, along with excellent communication skills and a strong understanding of accounting principles. The Cash Application Analyst will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely posting of cash receipts, resolving discrepancies, and maintaining records of transactions. This role requires a high level of accuracy, the ability to analyze data, and effective communication with both internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Knowledge and experience of Cash Applications is essential
- Expertise in applying in cash receipts to customer accounts
- Knowledge of reconciling bank statements and cash receipts
- Active management of aged debts, unallocated cash, internal and external queries
- Monthly Bank reconciliation highlighting and recording transaction movement and raising with finance to ensure process is consistent
- Process daily cash analysis report
- Timely and accurate processing of cashes, Reversals and Payables
- Monitor, analyses and report on trends in the key underwriting performance drivers
- Ensuring clarity around priorities and goals for the entire functional area
- Work on any adhoc requests/reports, etc as per the requirement
Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum 4+ years of experience in cash application or related financial roles
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and meeting deadlines
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Prior experience in Accounts Receivable or general accounting principles is a plus
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
