The firm invests in U.S.-based companies from Seed through Growth stages, typically deploying $500K–$15M per investment. Role Description The Analyst role at AXSOT is a full-time, remote position responsible for supporting investment decisions and portfolio management. On a day-to-day basis, the Analyst conducts industry and company research, analyzes market structures and competitive dynamics, and builds financial models to evaluate investment opportunities. The role involves preparing investment memos and presentations, tracking portfolio performance, and contributing to ongoing monitoring of business quality, leadership effectiveness, and governance standards. The Analyst collaborates closely with senior team members to refine investment theses, support due diligence processes, and provide insights that inform disciplined capital allocation. This role also includes maintaining structured data sets, improving research workflows, and contributing to internal knowledge sharing and best practices.
Qualifications
  • Strong analytical and research skills, including experience with market analysis, competitive assessment, and data-driven problem solving.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling, valuation techniques, and interpreting financial statements for technology and growth-stage businesses.
  • Ability to synthesize complex information into clear written materials, such as investment memos, reports, and executive summaries.
  • Comfort working with technology sectors (AI, SaaS, fintech, and related areas) and interest in emerging and transformative technologies.
  • High level of attention to detail, structured thinking, and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a remote environment.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across a small, focused investment team.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business, engineering, or a related quantitative field; advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CFA) are a plus.
  • Prior experience in investment analysis, private equity, venture capital, corporate finance, or consulting is preferred but not required.
