Job Description
*About the Role*
We are looking for an Analyst (Accounting & Compliance) to join our CA firm and support clients in day-to-day accounting, taxation, compliance, and related financial activities. The role will involve working on multiple client assignments and requires good accounting knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to meet statutory and client deadlines.
*Key Responsibilities*
*Accounting & Bookkeeping*
* Maintain books of accounts for clients in accordance with applicable accounting principles and requirements.
* Record and review day-to-day transactions including sales, purchases, receipts, payments, expenses, and journal entries.
* Perform bank, customer, vendor, and ledger reconciliations.
* Review books of accounts and identify accounting errors, mismatches, and unusual transactions.
* Assist in preparation of Trial Balance, Profit & Loss Account, Balance Sheet, and other financial reports.
* Maintain proper supporting documentation for accounting entries.
* Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities.
*GST & Tax Compliance*
* Assist in preparation and filing of GST returns, including GSTR-1, GSTR-3B and other applicable returns.
* Perform GST reconciliations and assist in identifying ITC mismatches and other discrepancies.
* Assist in preparation of TDS workings and filing of TDS returns.
* Assist in computation of income tax and preparation of related workings and schedules.
* Coordinate with clients for collection of information and supporting documents required for tax and compliance assignments.
*Client Coordination*
* Communicate with clients for routine accounting and compliance requirements.
* Follow up for pending information, documents, confirmations, and clarifications.
*Required Skills & Qualifications*
* B.Com / M.Com / CA inter or equivalent qualification.
* More than 2 years of relevant experience; experience in a CA firm will be preferred.
* Good understanding of basic accounting principles.
* Working knowledge of GST and TDS compliances.
* Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software such as Tally / Zoho Books / similar platforms.
* Good analytical and reconciliation skills.
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
* Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
* Good written and verbal communication skills.
* Willingness to learn and work across different client assignments.
