Job Description

Job Title: Analysis Engineer (NVH Analyst - Automotive Industry)

Job Description

This role focuses on Noise, Vibration, and Harshness (NVH) analysis within the automotive industry, using advanced simulation tools to evaluate and improve vehicle performance, comfort, and refinement. The analysis engineer contributes to the development of high-quality automotive products by assessing NVH behavior and supporting design optimization throughout the vehicle development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Perform detailed NVH analysis for automotive components and systems using industry-standard simulation tools.
  • Build, prepare, and manage finite element and simulation models in Ansa to support NVH studies.
  • Use Nastran to run NVH-related simulations and interpret results to assess noise, vibration, and harshness performance.
  • Analyze NVH data to identify issues, trends, and root causes, and propose design improvements or corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with design and engineering teams to integrate NVH requirements into vehicle and component designs.
  • Document analysis methods, assumptions, and results, and prepare clear reports and presentations for project stakeholders.
  • Support validation activities by correlating simulation results with test data when available.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of NVH analysis processes, methodologies, and best practices within the team.

Essential Skills

  • Proven experience as an NVH analyst in the automotive industry.
  • Strong proficiency with Ansa for model preparation and pre-processing in NVH simulations.
  • Hands-on experience using Nastran for NVH analysis and structural dynamics simulations.
  • Solid understanding of NVH principles, including noise, vibration, and harshness behavior in automotive systems.
  • Ability to interpret and communicate complex simulation results to multidisciplinary engineering teams.
  • Attention to detail and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Qualification related to NVH analysis in the automotive industry.
  • Familiarity with broader CAE and finite element analysis workflows.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional engineering environments.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical documentation and reporting.

Work Environment

The role is based in an engineering-focused environment within the automotive industry, working closely with design and development teams to support NVH performance targets. The position involves extensive use of simulation software such as Ansa and Nastran on modern engineering workstations. Working hours typically follow a standard full-time schedule, with periods of increased activity aligned to key project milestones. The environment emphasizes collaboration, technical excellence, and continuous improvement in analysis methods and vehicle refinement.
