Job Description

Imagine steering the analog heart of tomorrow's industrialgrade microcontrollers, shaping IP that powers everything from factory robots to automotive safety systems.

About the Role

Lead a highperformance team of analog designers responsible for lowpower, lowcost, highprecision IP (ADCs, DACs, LDOs, DCDCs, PLLs, opamps, comparators, references, clock generators) used in TI's MSPbased MCUs for industrial and automotive markets. You will:

  • Own the spectoRTM delivery of differentiated analog IP.
  • Interface daily with system/architecture, RTL, DV, DFT, PD, and test groups to guarantee seamless integration with massive digital logic.
  • Define the roadmap by analyzing market/application trends, translating EE needs into IP plans, and balancing cost, power, and performance.
  • Mentor and grow a multidisciplinary design team, fostering a culture of innovation and ontime delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive fulllifecycle development of analog/mixedsignal IP for MSP MCUs (spec, architecture, RTL handoff, verification, DFT, silicon bringup, test).
  • Conduct roadmap workshops with product management, EE application groups, and foundry partners to prioritize new IP blocks.
  • Establish crossfunctional communication channels (system, arch, RTL, DV, DFT, PD, test) to resolve integration challenges and ensure RTM (ReadytoMarket) dates.
  • Lead design reviews, risk assessments, and mitigation plans; own project schedules, budget, and resource allocation.
  • Champion lowpower techniques and noiserobust design across analog blocks that coexist with highspeed digital cores.
  • Foster a patentdriven culture – identify IP opportunities, guide disclosures, and protect innovations.
  • Recruit, coach, and evaluate design engineers; create development plans aligned with TI's leadership principles.

Required Skills

  • B.S. (or higher) in Electrical/Computer Engineering or equivalent.
  • 10+ years of analog/mixedsignal IC design experience, 5+ years in a leadership role (team lead, manager, or technical lead).
  • Deep expertise in ADCs, DACs, LDOs/DCDCs, PLLs, opamps, comparators, references, clock generators.
  • Proven track record delivering lowpower, highperformance analog IP for industrial or automotive MCU families.
  • Strong systemlevel understanding of digitalanalog coexistence (noise budgeting, floorplanning).
  • Excellent communication (written & verbal) and stakeholdermanagement skills across architecture, RTL, DV, DFT, PD, and test groups.
  • Demonstrated ability to define and execute product roadmaps based on market/applications analysis.

Preferred Qualifications

  • B.S /M.S./Ph.D. in Microelectronics, Analog/RF Design, or related field.
  • Experience with TI's MSP430 or similar lowpower MCU families.
  • Prior involvement in automotive functional safety (ISO26262) or industrial IEC60730 compliance.
  • Patent portfolio or involvement in IP protection processes.
  • Familiarity with foundry PDKs (28 nm and beyond) and lowpower design methodologies.
  • Proven projectmanagement (Agile/Waterfall) and resourceplanning experience.
