Role Overview
We are looking for a skilled Analog Circuit Design Engineer to design, simulate, and validate highperformance analog and mixedsignal circuits for nextgeneration semiconductor products. The ideal candidate should have strong fundamentals in analog design, hands-on experience with industry-standard tools, and the ability to work across design, layout, and verification teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and development of analog building blocks such as:
- Amplifiers (OPAMPs, comparators)
- ADC/DAC interfaces
- Bandgaps, LDOs, bias circuits
- PLL sub-blocks (charge pump, VCO, loop filter) (optional add based on JD need)
- Perform extensive simulations at transistor level across PVT corners using SPICE-based tools.
- Analyze performance metrics such as gain, noise, bandwidth, linearity, stability, and power.
- Work closely with layout engineers to ensure layoutaware design optimization.
- Review analog layout for matching, parasitics, symmetry, and EM/IR considerations.
- Support silicon validation, debugging, and characterization activities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including digital design, verification, test, and system engineering.
- Prepare documentation, design reports, and release notes for all deliverables.
Required Technical Skills
- Strong fundamentals in analog and mixed-signal circuit theory.
- Hands-on experience with Cadence Virtuoso and SPICE simulators (Spectre/APS, HSPICE, Eldo).
- Good understanding of CMOS device physics and semiconductor process variations.
- Experience with Monte Carlo simulations, mismatch analysis, and corner analysis.
- Knowledge of analog layout concepts (matching, shielding, guard rings, parasitic handling).
- Familiarity with lab equipment (oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, source meters) is a plus.
Additional Preferred Skills
- Experience in AMS modeling (VerilogA/VerilogAMS).
- Exposure to mixed-signal integration and SoC environments.
- Understanding of reliability checks such as EM/IR and ESD considerations.
- Good scripting skills (Python, Skill, Shell) for automation.
Soft Skills
- Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities.
- Good communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and in crossfunctional teams.
- High attention to detail and quality.
