Job Summary
The Anesthesia Doctor is responsible for the pre-operative assessment, administration of anesthesia, and post-operative care of patients undergoing surgical or diagnostic procedures. They ensure the safety, comfort, and well-being of patients before, during, and after anesthesia.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct pre-anesthetic assessments and obtain informed consent from patients.
- Evaluate patient history, laboratory results, and surgical needs to determine the appropriate anesthesia plan.
- Administer local, regional, or general anesthesia during surgical or diagnostic procedures.
- Monitor patient's vital signs, level of consciousness, and pain during surgery.
- Provide post-operative care, including pain management and monitoring recovery from anesthesia.
- Respond to emergencies and provide resuscitation or life-support measures if required.
- Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure patient safety.
- Maintain accurate and detailed anesthesia records.
- Follow hospital protocols, infection control practices, and safety standards.
Qualifications
- MBBS with specialization in Anesthesiology (MD/DNB/DA or equivalent).
- Valid medical license and registration with the Medical Council.
- BLS/ACLS certified (preferred).

Experience- Minimum 13 years of experience as an Anesthesiologist (Freshers with adequate training may also apply).
- Working Conditions:
- Must be available for rotational shifts, including nights, weekends, and emergency calls.
- Work involves standing for long periods in operation theatres.
- Ability to function in high-pressure surgical and trauma settings.
