Ammonia Refrigeration Operations Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor ammonia refrigeration systems including compressors, condensers, evaporators, and associated controls
• Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting of refrigeration equipment
• Ensure compliance with safety standards related to ammonia handling and storage
• Respond to system alarms, emergencies, and ammonia leak situations with appropriate corrective actions
• Maintain accurate logs, reports, and documentation of plant operations
• Optimize system efficiency, energy consumption, and overall performance
• Coordinate with maintenance teams and external vendors for repairs and upgrades
• Conduct risk assessments and support implementation of safety procedures and audits
• Train plant personnel on safe operation and emergency protoco
