A Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) Lab Assistant maintains lab hardware and software. They help students and teachers during practical classes. They troubleshoot technical problems, manage lab inventory, and ensure internet and server systems operate smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
- System Maintenance: Install and update compilers, software, and operating systems. Ensure all computers are virus-free and secure.
- Student Support: Guide students during coding and practical exercises. Help them use lab equipment like servers and microcontrollers safely.
- Troubleshooting: Identify and fix issues with computer hardware, network connections, and software tools.
- Inventory Tracking: Manage equipment like keyboards, cables, and development boards. Keep an accurate record of lab assets.
- Lab Security: Open and close the lab. Enforce safety and usage rules.
Preferred Qualifications
- Education: A diploma, BCA, B.Sc. (Computer Science), or B.Tech (CSE/IT) degree.
- Technical Skills: Basic knowledge of programming (like C, Java, Python), database management, and networking.
- Soft Skills: Great communication and problem-solving skills.
