Role Description

An Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (AME) Instructor at Alpine Institute of Aeronautics plays a crucial role in preparing the next generation of licensed aircraft maintenance engineers. The role goes beyond classroom teaching, combining technical expertise with practical training to meet the highest standards of aviation safety and education.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver theoretical and practical training as per DGCA CAR-147 (Basic) syllabus.
  • Conduct classroom lectures, lab sessions, and hands-on aircraft/workshop training.
  • Develop lesson plans, manuals, and training materials aligned with industry standards.
  • Guide and mentor students during aircraft troubleshooting and workshop practices.
  • Design and evaluate examinations, quizzes, and skill assessments.
  • Maintain accurate student records, attendance, and performance evaluations.
  • Provide academic and career guidance, preparing students for global aviation careers.

Qualifications

  • Valid DGCA-approved AME License (B1/B2) or equivalent international certification.
  • Engineering degree/diploma in Aeronautical, Mechanical, or Electrical & Electronics (preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of aviation regulations, aircraft systems, and maintenance practices.
  • Experience in the aviation industry (MRO, airline, training organization).
  • Teaching/training experience is desirable, though passionate industry professionals are encouraged to apply.
  • Excellent communication, mentoring, and leadership skills.

Experience

  • Minimum 35 years of practical aviation industry experience in aircraft maintenance.
  • Prior Basic Training Organization (CAR 147/EASA Part 147) instructor experience is an advantage.
  • Practical training expertise on B1.1/B2 modules highly preferred.
