Job Description

Job Title: Assistant Manager / Manager – Actuarial (Reserving / Pricing / IFRS 17)

Location: Gurgaon

Work Mode: Hybrid

Shift Timing: 11:30 AM – 9:00 PM

Cab Facility: Available

Experience: 3+ years

Notice Period: Immediate to 60 Days Preferred

Job Summary

We are looking for experienced Actuarial professionals for Assistant Manager / Manager roles within the General Insurance domain. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in Reserving, Pricing, or IFRS 17 and possess strong analytical, stakeholder management, and problem-solving capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform end-to-end General Insurance Reserving, Pricing, or IFRS 17 activities.
  • Support actuarial process transformation, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Analyze complex datasets and provide actionable business insights.
  • Work closely with cross-functional stakeholders and global teams.
  • Develop, validate, and maintain actuarial models and documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and reporting requirements.
  • Contribute to process enhancement and operational efficiency initiatives.

Mandatory Requirements

  • Any Graduate/Postgraduate with an Actuarial background.
  • Minimum 3–4 Actuarial papers cleared from IAI / IFoA / CAS / SOA.
  • 3+ years of experience in General Insurance Reserving, Pricing, or IFRS 17.
  • Strong understanding of General Insurance / P&C products and actuarial concepts.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Technical Skills:

Mandatory:

  • Advanced Excel
  • SQL

Preferred:

  • Python
  • R
  • SAS
  • VBA

Additional Requirement for Reserving Profiles:

  • Hands-on experience with ResQ

Preferred Experience

Reserving:

  • End-to-end General Insurance Reserving
  • Reserving process transformation
  • US GAAP and IFRS 17 reserving exposure
  • Commercial, Specialty, and Retail Insurance Lines

IFRS 17:

  • IFRS 17 reporting and implementation
  • Process development, improvement, and documentation
  • Reinsurance knowledge
  • Process transformation initiatives

Pricing:

  • P&C Pricing / Ratemaking
  • Regulatory filings and pricing models
  • Large-scale data analysis and predictive modeling

Good to Have

  • Exposure to UK and/or APAC insurance markets
  • Experience in automation and process optimization
  • Strong presentation and stakeholder management skills
