Job Description

Summary of Job

  • This role will be part of the internal Digital Process Excellence team, who will interact with various internal teams and external consultants to drive the governance of the Digital process initiatives & AI journey internally.
  • This role involves capability building of various OE & digital tools and co-ordinate with different stakeholders for continuous improvements.
  • This role will involve challenging pre-existing systems and processes, and being able to ideate and communicate on new systems that could address these issues.

Technical & Functional:

  • Understanding the basiscs of what it means to develop a technical solution, not actual coding proficiency (knowing necessity of Front-end, Back-end and DB development to create an application, have a general idea of the need of APIs/serverless solutions and consumption for example).
  • Understanding the basics of cost and revenue generation to appreciate the limitations or reasons behind strategic decisions with IT initiatives.
  • Understanding the capabilities and limitations of AI solutions.
  • Proficient in meaningfully using AI for quick iteration, but also being restained in understanding the need of manual effort before AI processing.
  • Proficient in Excel and the office suite.
  • Experience in Value Stream Mapping and other Lean Six Sigma tools.
  • Past experience as a consultant organizations (Maybe big 4).
  • Knowledge of driving the process simplification efforts.
  • Strong data analytics and developing the insights effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Grasp all processes, be that core business or support functions, within Sai. The understanding would need to be at a level that process steps and stakeholders can be critically questioned.
  • Synthesizing thoughts, process and issues into formal and intuitively comprehensible documents/slides.
  • Act as the governance member to track the digital initiatives and highlight the process and the the gaps in the deployment plans
  • Leveraging resources and members in the organization to ensure delivery on milestones within agreed upon timelines.
  • Drive digital transformation initiative agenda and digital tool deployments by working closely with the functional and business teams.
  • Assessing existing process and proposed changes, digital or otherwise, in the larger context of transformation at Sai and intervening/raising concerns accordingly.
  • Closely work with the external consultants, as deployed by the organization for various initiatives.
  • Analyze the data and provide the insights for management reviews and presentations.
  • Corodinate with IT team for deploying the digitalization ideas which has been identified through process simplification efforts.
  • Design the deployment of the dashboards and the status reports on a periodic basis.
  • Act as a champion and change agent for driving positive culture change and improving operational efficiencies while deploying new techniques and tools.
  • Implementing improved processes to significantly improve:
  • Productivity of the people
  • Quality of the current processes at the site
  • Cost of goods
  • Delivery performance of sites
  • Compliance to business processes
  • Able to identify issues of the business in collaboration with process owner and develop a list of improvement projects.
  • Providing support to the Management and functional leaders in the development and deployment of OE Program, utilizing continuous improvement methodology across all projects.
  • Lead periodic OE updates with the functional leadership team and conduct reward and recognition.
  • Support general OE member function at times of low workload or high workload for others.
