AM/DM - Automatic Gear Shift Transmission Actuator

Role:

• Design, development and evaluation of AGS Unit

Responsibilities:

• Design development of AGS Unit components
• Lay-outing and packaging of AGS Unit in vehicle
• Bench level evaluation of AGS Unit
• Analysis of market problem/failure related to AGS Unit

Competency Requirements

Technical / Functional:

• CAD proficiency - Uni-graphics (preferably) Designer
• CAE analysis proficiency - Uni-graphics (preferably)
• Knowledge of Project management system / Engg. BOM system
• Knowledge of automotive hydraulic systems
• Thorough understanding of tolerance stack-up analysis / DFMEA / root cause analysis / FTA, etc.
• Thorough understanding of manual transmission sub-systems (gearbox, gear shift mechanism, synchromesh system, clutch)
• Working knowledge of Engine system

Specific expertise required for functional area:

• Preferable to have work experience in an OEM
• Work experience in Automotive Hydraulic System design / development / application engineering
