Aluminum Designer

• Develop system drawings, shop drawings, and fabrication details for curtain wall, unitized/stick façade, windows, and doors

• Select appropriate aluminum systems (e.g., Schüco, Reynaers, Alutech, Technal, or in-house profiles) based on project loads, performance, and budget

• Perform structural glazing, wind load, thermal, and water penetration calculations (or coordinate with structural/façade consultants)

• Review architectural drawings and translate them into technical, buildable façade/window details

• Prepare BOQs, cut lists, and hardware schedules

• Lead design reviews with clients, architects, and consultants; resolve design queries (RFIs)

• Mentor and review the work of junior designers/draftsmen

• Ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards (e.g., IS, ASTM, EN, or local building codes)

• Coordinate with production, QC, and site teams to ensure design intent is executed correctly

• Support value engineering and cost optimization

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)

• 3–6 years of experience in aluminum window/façade design, with at least 3 years in a senior/lead role

• Strong knowledge of AutoCAD (mandatory); working knowledge of Revit, Inventor, or Logikal/Orgadata is a plus

• Deep understanding of aluminum extrusion systems, glazing types, gaskets, thermal breaks, and weatherproofing

• Experience with structural/thermal calculations (or close coordination with consultants)

• Strong communication and client-facing skills

Prior experience with high-rise or large-scale commercial façade projects preferred
