What you will be responsible for:
As a derivative SME, you are primarily responsible for the timely and accurate execution and reporting derivative activities that impact to net asset valuations (NAVs) for our clients accounts (funds). The derivative SME identifies, analyzes and substantiates impacts of derivatives to the NAV. Critical functions performed include the processing of and verification of all derivative activities and reflecting the same in system to be captured by downstream teams, assisting in addressing derivative queries and participating in various programs with derivatives requirement. This could extend to assist in data analysis, test performing and various new products onboarding, etc.
What we value. The derivative SME possess strong risk awareness to verify potential NAV impacts issue including MTM movement, position checking and accrual verifications. This could extend to engage with various parties to deal with potential queries and verification of trades and cash items to ensure the integrity of the NAV. Sprits of self-determination and investigation are required.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Validate and review all daily operational activities related to the CFD Reconciliation process while maintaining all required controls.
Investigate Position, Dividend, Gain and Loss breaks, identify the root cause, and resolve the breaks.
Support the review and validation of data as needed, e.g., fund Net Asset Values, Positions, MTM calculations, etc., as well as distribute information to Shared Services and Client Operations teams.
Research and resolve exceptions, reconciliations, incorrect transactions, and issues.
Receive and resolve inquiries in a timely and accurate manner and communicate effectively with clients when necessary.
Escalate unresolved issues to management as required.
Maintain appropriate records of daily and monthly activities.
Support the production of financial, performance, and/or quality reports for clients, shareholders, directors, and management as needed.
Maintain knowledge of current alternative procedures and processes.
Document any updates or changes to formal procedures, databases, etc.
Prepare and verify information for various projects or special requests as directed.

Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
Basic understanding of regulatory frameworks.
Strong working knowledge of Bloomberg and any other market Vendor.
Must have considerable domain knowledge preferably in areas of Fund accounting with good product knowledge across Equity, Fixed Income, and Derivatives.
Team player who is diligent, Attention to detail-oriented, organized.
Candidate must exhibit high degree of accuracy and the ability to meet deadlines
Education & Preferred Qualifications:
Degree in Commerce, Finance or MBA with relevant specialization
Any Certification in Financial Markets will be considered a plus
