Research and Development (R&D) Research and Development (R&D) at Maruti Suzuki India Limited is a cornerstone of the company's strategy to maintain its position as a leading automotive manufacturer in India and to enhance its global presence.
Maruti Suzuki's R&D roles are in three broad areas, each focusing on different aspects of vehicle development and innovation
1.Product Planning Area
This area is responsible for transforming visionary ideas into market leading products, combining strategic planning, cutting edge design, cost effectiveness and innovative management.
2.Engineering Area
This area is responsible for conceptualization & development of new models. They oversee vehicle engineering aspects of the body, chassis, advance powertrain systems (ICE, BEVs, Hybrid Powertrains) and other critical aspects such as infotainment systems, telematics, ADAS. etc. of new models for India and other export markets.
3.Homologation & Regulation Area
This area is responsible for ensuring that every MSIL car meets both national and international safety, environment, and quality standards and that it adheres to latest automotive regulations, before it reaches the customer. Also representing the company in various technical committees for formation of regulations.
The Opportunity
You will be at the execution forefront in critical areas like : Software & in vehicle network cyber security, Engine design & development, Hybrid & electric vehicle battery design, EV thermal management system, Telematics , Crash & safety CAE, ADAS calibration, ADAS design & development, NVH testing, Vehicle design, , Vehicle personalization design, Interior & exterior design, Carline - Product Lifecycle Management , Drive train shift system design, Model planning, Data Science, Environment regulation, Homologation & vehicle performance, New technology cost management, Prototype development, Homologation Safety testing, coast down testing (Road load) etc.
